A Sit Down with New Madison Central Running Backs Coach – Nick Griffin

It’s been a busy offseason in the Mississippi high school coaching ranks, especially in the 6A classification as now eight new head football coaches will be on the sidelines when things kick off in just a little over two months.  Now that the head men seem to be settled, they will continue to fill any vacancies they may have on their staffs as these coaches get ready for the 2015 season.

One of those moves was made recently as Madison Central head football coach, Brad Petterson hired former Mississippi State running back Nick Griffin as his running backs coach.

Per Griffin’s twitter account –

Griffin will have an extremely busy summer as he was chosen to play in the IFAF World Football Championships and represent team USA.

Once that is complete, he will head back to Madison to help the Jags get ready to kick things off in August.

I had a chance to sit down and visit with Griffin and we discussed his career at Mississippi State, Mississippi high school football, his new job and more.
