Velma Jackson senior quarterback Antavious Willis ran for 315 yards on 19 carries with seven touchdowns in a 50-24 win over Canton. Willis also completed 5-10 passes for 105 yards.
All-Purpose, Jimmy Holiday, Madison Central
Madison Central junior quarterback Jimmy Holiday accounted for five touchdowns in a 35-10 win over visiting Ocean Springs. Holiday scored four touchdowns on the ground, rushing for 112 yards on 12 carries. He also completed 11-17 passes for 123 yards and another score.
Running Back, Jerrion Ealy, Jackson Prep
Jackson Prep senior running back Jerrion Ealy needed just 12 rushes to pile up 167 yards on the ground including four touchdowns in the Patriots’ 41-0 win over Washington.
Wide Receiver, Kiland Harrison, St. Joseph
St. Joseph senior wide receiver Kiland Harrison caught five passes for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Bruins’ 28-7 win over Tri-County Academy.
Defensive Line, Vertez Shorter, Warren Central
Warren Central defensive lineman Vertez Shorter finished with ten tackles and three tackles for loss in the Vikings 17-14 loss to Pearl.
Linebacker, Donovan Veasley, Jackson Academy
Jackson Academy sophomore linebacker Donovan Veasley racked up 11 total tackles including 1.5 sacks and two passes broken up to help lead the Raiders to a 48-14 win over Lamar.
Defensive Back, Jalen Bracey, Murrah
Murrah defensive back Jalen Bracey had three interceptions in the Mustangs’ 33-21 loss to Callaway.
Kicker/Punter, Tucker Barefoot, Clinton
Clinton senior placekicker Tucker Barefoot was 6-6 on extra points and hit both of his field goal attempts in a 48-0 win over Vicksburg. Barefoot hit a long field goal of 44 yards.
