MRA quarterback Philip Short completed 17-28 passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-21 win over previous #1 Jackson Prep. Short also rushed for another score.
All Purpose, Javeious Purvis, Pelahatchie
Pelahatchie senior athlete Javeious Purvis rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns, passed for 88 yards, had three tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack and an interception to lead the Chiefs to a 41-21 win over Pisgah.
Running Back, Markell Young, Ridgeland
Ridgeland running back Markell Young rushed 34 times for 269 yards and five touchdowns in a 54-30 win over Vicksburg.
Wide Receiver, Jarrian Jones, Northwest Rankin
Northwest Rankin senior receiver Jarrian Jones caught four passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-14 win over Clinton.
Defensive Line, Daniel Pepper, Simpson Academy
Simpson Academy defensive end Daniel Pepper had eleven total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the Cougars’ 35-20 win over Bowling Green.
Linebacker, Will Anderson, Canton Academy
Canton Academy senior linebacker Will Anderson had 18 total tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks in the Panthers’ 26-13 win over St. Joseph. He also had a touchdown reception.

Madison Central senior defensive back Peyton Rea had a team-high ten tackles including three tackles for loss a 21-17 loss to Starkville.
Punter, Houston Smith, Northwest Rankin
Northwest Rankin senior punter Houston Smith punted three times for a 51.7 yard average in a 34-14 win over Clinton.
