These two classifications are for 8-Man. There are now 28 schools that compete in 8-Man football.

In Class 2A, Manchester Academy is the heavy favorite to win it this year after falling short to Tallulah (La.) in the 8-Man title game last year. A lot of starters returning. Upton Hitt returns at quarterback and free safety, while the Poe twins of Parks and John Riley return at running back/linebacker and receiver/defensive back. Dylan Dendy is back at running back and defensive end along with Michael Williams and Cade Potter at offensive line/linebacker.

Other teams watch for in 2A are West Memphis (Ark.), Marvell (Ark.), Lee (Ark.), Sharkey-Issaquena and Franklin (La.)

In Class 1A defending 8-Man champion Tallulah (La.) will have a new head coach in Bart Wood and must replace Joshua Collins at quarterback but will be the favorite to win it in 1A.

Teams to watch in 1A are Prairie View (La.), Desoto (Ark.), Deer Creek, North Sunflower and Briarfield (La.)
