National Guard High School Team Of The Week – Week 4

The Week 4 National Guard Team Of The Week features the state’s leading statistical receiver Kalem Reddix of St. Martin and a 5.5 sack effort from Callaway defensive end Aaron Odom.


Quarterback, Rhett Harvey, Sumrall
Sumrall quarterback Rhett Harvey was good on 27-33 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-20 blowout of Choctaw Central. Harvey also ran for 59 yards and two more scores.

All-Purpose, Julian Conner, Hattiesburg
Hattiesburg quarterback Julian Conner finished with 336 yards of total offense in a 51-6 win over East Marion. Conner passed for 270 yards and four touchdowns, completing 11-18 passes. He also rushed for 66 yards on six carries.

Running Back, Jamarcus Quarles, Lafayette
Lafayette running back Jamarcus Quarles rushed 32 times for 272 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns in the Commodores’ 23-3 win over Oxford.

Wide Receiver, Kalem Reddix, St. Martin
St. Martin senior wide receiver Kalem Reddix caught ten passes for 157 yards in a 46-24 loss to Crestview. Reddix also picked off a pass and had a tackle for loss. He leads the state with 687 receiving yards.


Defensive Line, Aaron Odom, Callaway
Callaway senior defensive end Aaron Odom racked up 14 total tackles in a 40-20 win over Forest Hill. The Mississippi State commit finished with 5.5 sacks and forced a pair of fumbles in the win.

Linebacker, Jett Johnson, Tupelo
Tupelo junior linebacker Jett Johnson picked up 15 total tackles including a tackle for loss in Tupelo’s 14-13 win over Brandon. Johnson also had a sack and recovered a fumble.

Defensive Back, Laterrance Addison, Pascagoula
Pascagoula junior defensive back Laterrance Addison picked off a pair of passes in Pascagoula’s 36-29 win over George County. Addison had five tackles, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Kicker/Punter, Harris Hauenstein, Laurel
Laurel placekicker Harris Hauenstein was good on 3-4 field goal attempts and hit a 38-yard game-winning kick in a 30-28 win over Petal.
