The Week 7 National Guard High School Team Of The Week features a 510-yard effort from Union quarterback Tredarius Harris and 365 rushing yards from Morton’s D. D. Bowie.

Quarterback, Tredarius Harris, Union
Union quarterback Tredarius Harris was 21-36 passing for 353 yards and three scores in a 42-38 loss to Bay Springs. Harris also rushed for 157 yards with two more touchdowns.

All-Purpose, D. D. Bowie, Morton
Morton athlete D. D. Bowie piled up 365 rushing yards and scored five touchdowns in a 58-52 win over Magee. Bowie also passed for 70 yards.

Running Back, Monterio Hunt, Walnut
Walnut running back Monterio Hunt rushed for 289 yards on 29 carries and scored six total touchdowns in a 50-27 win over Mantachie..

Wide Receiver, Beau Lee, Kossuth
Kossuth wide receiver Beau Lee caught seven passes for 177 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-18 win over New Site.

DEFENSE

Defensive Line, Demario Dent, Ridgeland
Ridgeland defensive end Demario Dent recorded a team-high eight tackles with four sacks and four tackles for loss in a 47-0 win over Lanier.

Linebacker, Gunner Williams, Pearl
Pearl linebacker Gunner Williams finished with 14 total tackles and three sacks in the Pirates’ 34-13 upset win at previous no. 2 Meridian. Williams also deflected a pass.

Defensive Back, Jalen Hoover, Northwest Rankin
Northwest Rankin defensive back Jalen Hoover picked off three passes in a 28-7 upset of previous no. 4 Starkville.
