East Mississippi quarterback De’Andre Johnson (6’2, 205 / Jacksonville, FL) completed 15-27 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns in a 73-7 win over MIssissippi Delta. Johnson also rushed for 58 yards on ten carries.
All-Purpose, Darious Leggett, Pearl River
Pearl River running back Darious Leggett (6’1, 185 / Hattiesburg, MS) ran 27 times for 186 yards and two touchdowns in Pearl River’s 51-34 loss to Itawamba. Leggett also had two catches for 22 yards.
Running Back, Scott Phillips, Jones County
Jones County running back Scott Phillips (5’9, 200 / Ellisville, MS) rushed 27 times for 186 yards and a pair of scores in Jones County’s 33-21 win over Southwest.
Wide Receiver, Dorian Gaston, Itawamba
Itawamba wide receiver Dorian Gaston (6’1, 185 / Ripley, MS) caught nine passes for 164 yards and a touchdown in a 51-34 win over Pearl River.
Defensive Line, Hal Northern, Northwest
Northwest defensive lineman Hal Northern (6’2, 285 / Tunica, MS) had a team-high nine tackles with a half-sack and two tackles for loss in the Rangers’ 27-12 win over Holmes.
Linebacker, Reggio Dean, Gulf Coast
Gulf Coast linebacker Reggio Dean (5’10, 210 / Laurel, MS) was all over the field in a 34-0 win over Hinds, registering eight tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack and a 51-yard interception return.
Defensive Back, Isaiah Swopes, Co-Lin
Co-Lin defensive back Isaiah Swopes (5’8, 170 / Ocean Springs, MS) racked up a game-high ten tackles with two interceptions, two pass break-ups, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery in a 34-23 win over East Central.
Kicker, Brady Farlow, Jones County
Jones placekicker Brady Farlow (5’10, 175 / Purvis, MS) was 3-4 on extra points and 2-2 on field goals including a 49-yarder in a 33-21 win over Southwest.
