Northeast Mississippi Community College standout Lavon Hooks capped the early football signing period when he chose to sign with Ole Miss today. The Gwinnett Daily Post first reported the signing. Hooks was named the top defensive tackle in the country by JCGridiron.com.
Hooks was selected by Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges (MACJC) coaches as a first team All-State player, and was also chosen as the MACJC’s Most Valuable Defensive Lineman.
Hooks finished the year with 51 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.
