MRA senior quarterback Philip Short (6’2, 205) completed 19-29 passes for 364 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Jackson Academy.
All-Purpose, Andarius Coffey / Winona
Winona senior quarterback Andarius Coffey (5’11, 190) passed for 214 yards and a score while also rushing for 158 yards and three more touchdowns in a 35-28 win over Kosciusko.
Running Back, Kenyatta Harrell / Pearl
Pearl senior running back Kenyatta Harrell (5’10, 190) rushed for 364 yards and six touchdowns on 31 carries in the Pirates 62-21 win over Ridgeland. Harrell rushed for 294 yards in the first half.
Wide Receiver, Dylan Fortenberry / Brookhaven Academy
Brookhaven Academy junior wide receiver Dylan Fortenberry (6’4, 185) had 13 catches for 208 yards in a 44-42 loss to Columbia Aademy.
Defensive Line, Eric Williams / North Panola
North Panola defensive end Eric Williams (6’3, 220) had six tackles, two tackles for loss, a pair of sacks and two hurries in a 14-0 win over Charleston.
Linebacker, Triston Newson / Independence
Independence linebacker Triston Newson (6’2, 180) had 14 tackles, seven tackles for loss, a couple of sacks and an interception in a win over Palmer.
Defensive Back, Javien Adams / Olive Branch
Olive Branch senior defensive back Javien Adams (6’, 190) had seven tackles and two interceptions in a 42-7 win over Haywood. He returned one interception for a touchdown.
Kicker, Jack Tannehill / Oxford
Oxford junior placekicker Jack Tannehill (5’9, 170) was 3-3 on field goals (44, 24, and 44) and 2-2 on extra points in the Chargers’ 33-14 win over Grenada. Tannehill also had four touchbacks on six kickoffs.
