Starkville junior quarterback Luke Altmyer (6’1, 185) completed 28-35 passes for 339 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Yellowjackets to a big 45-17 win over Oxford.
All-Purpose, Jimmy Holiday / Madison Central
Madison Central senior quarterback Jimmy Holiday (6’, 185) rushed for 233 yards with three touchdowns to lead the Jaguars over Brandon 28-14. He also passed for 74 yards and a score.
Running Back, Kylan Cooper / Lawrence County
Lawrence County senior running back Kylan Cooper (5’11, 160) needed just 11 carries to rush for 234 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-28 win over Brookhaven. .
Wide Receiver, Noah Foster / Tupelo Christian Prep
Tupelo Christian Prep wide receiver Noah Foster (5’10, 185) hauled in eight receptions for 322 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 53-21 win over Oak Hill Academy.
Defensive Line, Albert Williams / Jim Hill
Jim Hill senior defensive end Albert Williams (6’, 215) had 14 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks and five hurries in a 26-6 win over Port Gibson. Williams also forced two fumbles and recovered a fumble.
Linebacker, Richard Porter / Pisgah
Pisgah linebacker Richard Porter (6’, 170) had a big night for the Dragons with four tackles, three sacks, five hurries, two forced fumbles and a safety in a 50-18 win over Bogue Chitto.
Defensive Back, Cade Shepherd / Tri-County
Tri-County’s Cade Shepherd (5’11, 175) had a team-high 18 tackles in a 50-49 loss to Riverfield. Shepherd also found time to pass for 276 yards, rush for 100 yards and account for five touchdowns.
Kicker, Brycen Smith / Sumrall
Sumrall sophomore placekicker Brycen Smith (6’, 160) was 2-2 on extra points and 3-4 on field goals in a 30-6 win over Wesson. Smith hit a season-long field goal of 39 yards and scored 11 points in the win.
