The Mississippi Gridiron Team of the Week for week 10 of the season. Players are selected with consideration given to the individual performance, the quality of opponent, and the magnitude of the game. Players can be nominated each week by filling out our online nomination form.

QB, Thad Miller, Gulfport
Gulfport senior quarterback Thad Miller threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two more in a 50-43 overtime win over Hattiesburg. Miller finished with 336 passing yards.

QB, Princeton Jones, Starkville
Starkville quarterback Princeton Jones accounted for 226 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in Starkville’s 45-42 win over Madison Central                                 

AP, Tyler Polk, St. Martin
St. Martin athlete Tyler Polk accounted for five touchdowns in a 49-28 win over Biloxi. Polk rushed 32 times for 244 yards.                                                    

RB, Darrell Henderson, South Panola
South Panola junior running back Darrell Henderson rushed 39 times for 229 yards to lead the Tigers to a 14-8 win over Tupelo.

RB, Aeris Williams, West Point
West Point senior running back Aeris Williams rushed 35 times for 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 24-21 win over Lake Cormorant.

RB, Ryan Cothern, Tri-County
Tri-County running back Ryan Cothern continued to put up huge numbers with 311 yards on 24 carries in a 49-20 win over Benton Academy. Cothern score four touchdowns. 

WR, Jaylen Smith, Germantown
Germantown receiver Jaylen Smith caught four passes for 169 yards with three TD’s in a 49-14 win over Neshoba Central. Smith added an 18-yard touchdown run and an 82-yard interception return for a score.

WR, Josh Stowers, Brandon
Brandon wide receiver Josh Stowers had four receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown in Brandon’s 42-14 win over Meridian.                                                     

WR, Jevon Floyd, Gulfport
Gulfport receiver Jevon Floyd caught 11 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in Gulfport’s 50-43 overtime win over Hattiesburg.

OL, Brandon
Brandon’s offensive line helped the Bulldog offense top 200 yards passing and rushing in a 42-14 win over Meridian. Brandon passed for 254 yards and rushed for 201 yards on 40 carries.
