OFFENSE

QB, Kirk McCarty, Oak Grove
Oak Grove senior quarterback Kirk McCarty completed 18-30 passes for 390 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 49-14 win over Biloxi.

QB, Thad Miller, Gulfport
Gulfport senior quarterback Thad Miller tossed five touchdowns in the Admirals’ 35-13 win over Moss Point. Miller completed 16-21 passes for 251 yards with no interceptions.

AP, Malik Dear, Murrah
Junior Murrah athlete Malik Dear caught eight passes for 171 yards and had 193 yards of total offense in a 53-38 loss to Callaway. Dear had a touchdown and a conversion.                                                     

RB, Jacquez Horsley, Starkville
Junior running back Jacquez Horsley rushed 37 times for 194 yards and a touchdown to lead Starkville to a 34-14 win over Southaven.

RB, Zack Everhart, Madison-Ridgeland Academy
Zack Everhart rushed for 296 yards on 13 carries with four touchdowns in MRA’s 42-7 win over Pillow Academy. 

WR, Demorrious Brown, Pearl
Senior wide receiver Demorrious Brown caught five passes for 204 yards and a touchdown in Pearl’s 41-17 win over Mendenhall. 

WR, Brennen Bradley, St. Stanislaus
St. Stanislaus wide receiver Brennen Bradley caught 12 passes for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Rock-A-Chaws 49-45 win over St. Martin. 

WR, Colby Shaw, Centreville
Centreville wide receiver Colby Shaw had eight receptions for 167 yards and three touchdowns in Centreville’s 36-17 win over Parklane. 

WR, Richaud Floyd, Gulfport
Junior wide receiver Richaud Floyd  caught seven passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns in Gulport’s 35-13 win over Moss Point.

OL, St. Stanislaus
The St. Stanislaus offensive line has helped the Rock-A-Chaw offense lead the entire state in total offense, averaging over 531 yards per game. They piled up 537 yards of total offense Friday in a 49-45 win over St. Martin.

 

DEFENSE

DL, Jeremy Jordan, Germantown
Germantown senior defensive lineman Jeremy Jordan had a team-high ten tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal in Germantown’s 37-22 win over North Pike.

DL, Alex Metcalf, Shannon
Senior Alex Metcalf had ten tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in Shannon’s 17-12 win over Nettleton.

DE, (LB) Demetrius Gooden, Newton County
Newton County athlete Demetrius Gooden had a team-high 19 tackles with 16 solo stops in Newton County’s 10-7 loss to Forest.

DE, Damon Stamps, Warren Central
Senior defensive end Damon Stamps had four tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, an interception and a pass defended in Warren Central’s 27-6 win over Natchez.

LB, Tyler Doss, East Webster
Senior linebacker Tyler Doss had a team-high nine tackles, one interception, one pass defended and a fumble recovery in East Webster’s 21-13 win over Houston.

LB, Daniel Smith, Poplarville
Poplarville senior linebacker Daniel Smith had nine total tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack in Poplarville’s 41-14 win over Stone.

LB, Jeremy Sangster, Louisville
Senior linebacker Jeremy Sangster had 15 total tackles with three tackles for loss in Louisville’s 19-6 win over Philadelphia.

LB, Drake Riley, Oak Hill Academy
Drake Riley had 15 tackles, one sack and forced a fumble in Oak Hill Academy’s 20-15 win over Winston Academy.

DB, Johna Myers, Petal
Petal senior Johna Myers picked off a pair of passes and had five tackles in Petal’s 42-35 win over Madison Central.

Desoto Central senior Steven Bradley had 11 tacklles and a tackle for loss with a blocked punt in Desoto Central’s 22-15 win over Lake Cormorant.

DB, Devin McMeans, Tishomingo County
Junior cornerback Devin McMeans had a team-high 14 tackles and two passes defended in Tishomingo County’s 35-33 win over Kossuth.

DB, Stephen Sanford, South Panola
South Panola linebacker Stephen Sanford had eight total tackles and three tackles for loss in the Tigers’ 24-23 win over North Little Rock

Senior punter Matthew Turcotte punted four times for a 40 yard average with two inside the 20 yard line in Neshoba Central’s 40-14 loss to Northeast Lauderdale.

Senior placekicker Reed James hit 4-4 extra points and nailed a 43-yard field goal in Germantown’s 37-22 win over North Pike.
