QB, Wyatt Roberts, East Mississippi
East Mississippi junior quarterback Wyatt Roberts completed 27-37 passes for 358 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ 44-28 win over Holmes. Roberts also had a seven-yard touchdown run.
AP, Tredarian Gamble, East Central
East Central running back Tredarian Gamble helped lead the Warriors’ to a 14-6 win over Jones County by rushing 28 times for 140 yards and a touchdown.
RB, Justin Crawford, Northwest
Northwest running back Justin Crawford rushed 19 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the Rangers’ 40-0 blowout of Mississippi Delta.
WR, Jahmmir Taylor, Hinds
Hinds wide receiver Jahmmir Taylor finished with seven receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ 33-26 win over Co-Lin.
DL, Marcus Loud, Hinds
Hinds sophomore defensive lineman Marcus Loud helped lead Hinds to a 33-26 win over Co-Lin by collecting 13 total tackles with a pair of sacks, three tackles for loss and a blocked extra point.
LB, De’Arius Christmas, East Mississippi
East Mississippi linebacker De’Arius Christmas racked up 11 tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack as the Lions beat Holmes 44-28. The former Warren Central standout had 11 solo stops.
DB, Kendarius Hibbler, Itawamba
Itawamba defensive back Kendarius Hibbler grabbed a pair of interceptions and had seven tackles in a 52-14 win over Northeast. Hibbler finished with five solo stops.
P, Patrick Ponder, Jones County
Jones County punter Patrick Ponder punted eight times for a 46.6 yards per punt average in a 14-6 loss to East Central. Ponder had a long punt of 82 yards in the game and ranks second in the NJCAA with a 43.5 yards per punt average.
