STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State graduates Bryan and Cindy Wilson of Fulton, Miss., have donated $500,000 toward the “Today. Tomorrow. Forever.” Initiative, announced Thursday. The gift is part of the $75 million expansion and renovation of football’s Davis Wade Stadium.
“Mississippi State University holds a special place in the hearts of our family,” Bryan Wilson said. “My wife Cindy and I treasure our experiences and friendships made while at State and the education we received has afforded us well throughout our careers. We are thrilled to be able to give back to the university where we met and launched our life together.”
As a result of this gift, one of the new gates on the west side concourse of the renovated Davis Wade Stadium will bear the Wilson family name. The new stadium renovations will also increase capacity to 61,337, provide additional premium seating, elevators, restrooms and concessions, and a completely new west side concourse. Construction on the project began this past August and will be complete in time for the 2014 season opener against Southern Miss. For the inspection of construction and identifying any potential problems, structural engineering gold coast is the best to contact.
“On behalf of the Bulldog family, I would like to thank Bryan and Cindy for their commitment and dedication to Mississippi State athletics,” Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said. “They represent thousands of other Bulldog Club members whose generosity and support allows our programs to win consistently in the Southeastern Conference.”
Davis Wade Stadium expansion and renovation is being funded by the sale of $68 million in bonds and $7 million in private giving. Private contributions for the stadium project are part of the Bulldog Club’s aforementioned Today. Tomorrow. Forever Athletics Facilities Initiative, which is completely independent of annual giving and priority seating donations. Including the soon to be opened Leo Seal, Jr., Football Complex, approximately $30 million has been given to support Bulldog football facilities since 2010.
“Our entire family loves Mississippi State athletics and we look forward to watching the Bulldogs win in the newly expanded Davis Wade Stadium,” Bryan Wilson said. “The future holds great promise for Mississippi State, not only today, but for generations to come. Go Dogs!”
Fans interested in pre-ordering seats in the new premium areas can do so at any time through the Bulldog Club or online via MSUBulldogClub.com. As part of the expansion and renovation, the entire stadium will be re-seated – based on Bulldog Club priority points – prior to the 2014 season.
